BDO Luxembourg celebrates International Women's Day

BDO in Luxembourg supports the initiative “A rose for every woman” organised by the “Rotary Club Luxembourg Schuman”. In this context, we offered our female employees a rose to thank them for their dedication to the firm (without forgetting the commitment of our male employees, who we thank just as much).
Since 2012, funds collected by the Rotary Club through the sale of the roses are entirely used to support associations that work for women’s rights and against violence against women.
This year, the funds will support the "Meederchershaus"('the girls' house'). Founded in 1997, the "Meederchershaus" is run by the non-profit organisation "Femmes en Détresse". It consists of a shelter with 8 beds (4 rooms) which welcomes approximately 35 girls every year. It is aimed at teenage girls and young adults between 13 and 19 years old who have been victims of domestic violence. You can find more information on this important work on their website.
