CANDIDATE DATA PROTECTION STATEMENT

This statement applies to candidates for a position with BDO Services Luxembourg, whose registered office is located at 1, rue Jean Piret, L-2350 Luxembourg, with the identification number B147572 (with all its affiliated companies, see below). BDO Services Luxembourg and all its affiliated companies are named as “BDO Luxembourg” in this statement.

BDO Luxembourg places the highest priority on protecting the confidentiality and privacy of your personal data. BDO Luxembourg processes your personal data in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.

BDO Luxembourg uses online recruitment tools and a recruitment form as part of its recruitment process to publish job advertisements and to receive job applications.

COLLECTION AND USE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

By participating in the recruitment and applying for a job, BDO Luxembourg will collect personal information that may consist of, but is not limited to:

You give your consent to BDO Luxembourg by providing BDO Luxembourg with your Personal Data by continuing the use of the online tool. These personal data are required to manage your job application in order to compile a shortlist for an interview and possible recruitment. They are used only for the selection of candidates in the context of recruitment at BDO Luxembourg. Please note that your Personal Data’s absence might prevent us fully or partially from taking you into account in the recruitment.

Besides the utilisation of our recruitment form online and depending on the Recruitment, we may also collect your Personal Data from you interactively (e.g. in a phone call, job interviews, events and/or from the cookies used on this website, online information, social media…) or by third parties designated by you (you are responsible for ensuring that you have attained all such third party consents possibly required for providing us with the information), our employees and/or other persons providing services for us.

Sensitive information is not required or collected through the Website except where legally required as part of the recruitment process. Sensitive information includes data relating to race or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or similar beliefs, trade union membership, physical or mental health, sexual life or criminal matters. Where you provide sensitive personal information as part of the recruitment process, your submission of such information will be deemed to constitute explicit consent to BDO's use of that information in connection with the purpose for which it has been provided.

Your personal data is processed by BDO Luxembourg Recruitment team and can only be accessed by members of HR services.

Although we may give access to the personal information to an IT service provider that handle information, under a data processor agreement, on our behalf, we do not share, sell or distribute personal data to or with third parties unless the transfer of your data to third parties is necessary for the performance of the purpose for which it was provided and after being informed. There is no transfer of your Personal Data outside the European Union.

In the context of recruitment processes for our clients and with your approval, we may also provide them with your personal information.

Personal information may also be disclosed to law enforcement, regulatory, or other government agencies, or to other third parties, in each case to comply with legal or regulatory obligations or requests.

By providing information through this Website, you consent to the disclosures described above, except where your consent is explicitly required.

 

RETENTION OF YOUR INFORMATION

Information is only kept for the period required for fulfilling your request and for a maximum of 2 years if you did not renew your application.

BDO Luxembourg will not use the Employee Candidate Data for direct marketing or any other purpose than those described above in this statement and in the description.

Please note, that you may withdraw your consent for processing your Personal Data by sending an email to dpo@bdo.lu. In that case BDO Luxembourg shall delete your Personal Data immediately.

 

YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to request access to your Personal Data, to have your personal data corrected or deleted, and to restrict our processing of your Personal Data.

You also have the right to withdraw your consent for processing your Personal Data.
